I grew up on a farm east of Mt. Zion. After graduating from EIU, I began working at the state, which is how I ended up in Edinburg--closer to Springfield, but still in "the country." I've got one swell husband, three rowdy kids, a boat load of animals, and a plethora of books. Yes, I count myself blessed! I am excited to be teaching subjects I LOVE this year--it will be a nice change from all the subjects I have been schooling my less-than-thrilled kids the past 12 years! I also love to: build stuff--you may see me sweating in my driveway over the summers; bake things--chocolate chip cookies and custom birthday cakes for the kids are my specialties; and bargain shop--mostly books, of course--wait until you see the 250+ new books I've picked up for the classroom at sales!
